It is essential to choose an armored door presenting an A2P label certification, which tells you the level of security it offers. The label has a number from one to three and is in two parts:
Shield rating
This part indicates the number of minutes a burglar would need to force your door if he had no tools or weapons at his disposal (with an ax for example). This value is set by the French safety standardization body, the CNPP (National Center for Prevention and Protection).
Resistance index
This part indicates the number of minutes a burglar would need to force your door if he had all the necessary tools and weapons (with an ax for example). This value is also set by the CNPP.
A-rated doors offer the best possible protection, but they are also the most expensive.
A2P categories
- A2P1 or A2P BP1 : resistance of 5 mins
- A2P2 or A2P BP2 : resistance of 10 mins
- A2P3 or A2P BP3 : resistance of 15 mins
